Every couple in a long-term relationship falls into ruts now and then. On Cooking at Home

"My husband is Italian, so we love to make our own pizza and enjoy it on what we like to call a 'floor picnic.' We go get all the ingredients, decant a nice bottle of red wine, and laugh and enjoy making dinner together. Then we set up a beautiful little floor picnic in the middle of our living room with floor pillows and poufs, candles, the works. All in the comfort of our own home. It's a great date for resetting and refocusing on each other. Unplugged, romantic, focused quality time." - @ssavannahjaydee

"We love cooking together. We'll choose a recipe with lots of steps and try to do each step together." -В @b33p5

On Exploring the Neighborhood

"Our go-to date night is a walk through our neighborhood (downtown Minneapolis), followed by dinner and drinks on a patio or rooftop with a view." -В @janielangdesign

On Dining Out

"We love to do a progressive-type meal to experience our favorite spots in town in one night now that we have a little one and don't get out as much. So we do drinks at one place, apps at another, the main course at another, and finish off with dessert at the fourth spot. It's also really fun on vacation." -В @stephschertz

"For our go-to date night, we go out to a new or old favorite restaurant and share a few dishes, and we always order martinis (the martinis are date-night specific). Makes it feel extra special!" -В @hailroseruby

"We just moved to Amsterdam from Los Angeles, so we're definitely trying to take advantage of a whole new city with a crazy food scene. We try a new restaurant once a week! We are so tempted to go to our comfortable 'go-to' spots, but exploring new places, menus, and neighborhoods goes so much further than you'd think!" -В @annakbannister

On Staying In

"We have an almost-9-month-old, and we don't live near friends or family, so every Wednesday night we have 'wine Wednesday.' After we put our baby down to sleep, we open a nice bottle and sit and talk. No TV. Weather permitting, we sit on the porch. It's a good way to reconnect." -В @slynnmattice

On Hitting the Town

"We like to go to music shows-usually indie punk rock shows at local bar venues. Always reminds us of a time before we had kids lol." -В @sheicausey

"We love getting all dressed up and going toВ the theater or the ballet. Nothing better than your spouse looking and feeling fancy." -В @hcolenw

"We'll go see liveВ music or head to a comedy club. Dancing or laughing with your spouse is the best." -В @gilliangavurin

On Getting Outside

"A night beside a fire pit with a glass of wine. Works best if you're actually camping, but any outdoor fire pit will do. The fire brings out all kinds of enchanting conversations." -В @lorniesq

On Perusing Shops Together

"We'll go out to dinner, followed by playing board games at a coffee shop or perusing a bookstore. Even better if we've spent the day hiking!" -В @kaleioki

"WeВ go to a cafГ© for a light dinner and then head to our favorite record shop and peruse the stacks while sipping coffee." -В @shaun_crha
